Background

·         Since 1987: Professor for International Finance at Georg-Simon Ohm University, Nuremberg.Consultant to International Organisations (KfW, World Bank, DEG, European Commission, GIZ, Swiss agency for development and co-operation) as financial expert. Specialisation: Project evaluation and finance. (Development and small scale banking, small-scale industries and as well as in the power and energy sector in Asia, Eastern Europe, Africa and Latin America)

·         1991: Attached to World Bank in Washington as a consultant in a cross evaluation of energy projects (during sabbatical semester)

·         1980-87: Senior Project Manager at KfW, responsible for the appraisal and supervision of development projects in South-East Asia, Specialisation on energy and industrial projects as well as co-operation with development banks.

·         1977-79: Member of a research team, carrying out a field study on 2000 small scale entrepreneurs in Malaysia for the Socio-economic Planning Unit of the Malaysian Prime Minister's Department.

International finance and project evaluation, expert mainly in the areas of energy, renewable energy and development/micro banking
