We are participating in a European Commission Intelligent Energy Europe programme (IEE) called EuroPHit, intended to develop the technical and financial routes to driving energy efficiency in the building stock.
EuroPHit aims to provide solutions to deep energy retrofits for the critical area of step-by-step refurbishments. The project looks at technical solutions as well as the financial models required to make these projects viable and attractive to investors. This latest research on is being put to use in a variety of building case studies involved in the project – showing the way towards an increasingly high quality, energy efficient building stock.
We have drafted “financial guidelines” and are undertaking financial workshops in the EU member countries to inform and motivate Financial Institutions to support the energy efficient retrofit of the building stock.
We would like to raise awareness of the EuroPHit project and the financing of building retrofits in the financial sector to overcome the well documented challenges inherent to obtaining long-term financing for energy efficiency projects.
